Help us bring an art experience unlike any we’ve seen in this area to CenterFest 2020! Our spring art festival is scheduled for May 29 – 31 and promises to be a weekend of fun! In addition to our juried “Artists Row” art market, visitors will also interact with some of the most vibrant and creative artists from Houston and across the state. Our goal is to reinforce the joys of fine art in an approachable and unique way. Up to thirty artists will fill 10’ x 10’ pop-up tents outside with original exhibits and installations. One guest artist, Felipe Lopez, will create a new art installation in The Center foyer. To get a taste of what he will bring, look up Felipe on his Instagram account (@felipelopezart). The weekend will also include fun activities for all, including our “Paint with Pets” area where you and your puppy can safely create a work of art to take home. Saturday, we will host the 4th annual Art March (as seen on KHOU’s Great Day Houston) where participants transform old shoes into wearable pieces of art for prizes! On Sunday, relax and enjoy an outside Jazz & Art Sunday Brunch while browsing the fine art offerings. Our resident programs will have their doors open and will welcome visitors to experience The Center and all we have to offer year-round.
